Free

Please note, due to the current government guidance around the Coronavirus pandemic, this event will be postponed. As soon as we can confirm a new date, we will update this page.

Join Writing West Midlands and two guest speakers for a free morning of discussion and networking for emerging and established writers. This is a great opportunity for writers to meet one another, share idea and enthusiasms, and hear from industry professionals.

This session will focus on funding for writers, and what’s available to help you in the early stages of your writing career.

This is a free event, but booking is required.

About the speakers:

Jane Commane is a writer, poet and editor based in the West Midlands. She is the founder and Director of Nine Arches Press.

Pete Stones is the Arts Council England Relationship Manager for Literature in the West Midlands region. He’ll be talking about applying for funding from Arts Council England through the Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) programme.
