Writing West Midlands’ Learning Programme
Writing West Midlands‘ learning programme is focussed on our writers in schools and communities scheme, Write On! This programme is a partner to our writer development programme, The Writers’ Toolkit.
Write On! includes creative writing events and activities in schools and communities across the West Midlands. Some are delivered in set programmes while others are bespoke. Details.
Our 2010 – 2012 Write On! programme will include:
- Writer Attachments (five sessions across a half-term)
- Original Writing Days (up to 100 participants)
- Writer in Residencies (longer term attachments)
- Bespoke creative writing projects (including cross-curriculum projects)
- Write On! Online (secure internet based creative writing communities)
- Write On! Writing Squads (out of school clubs for young writers)

During 2010 and 2011 we will also be a regional partner in Well Versed, a project to improve how young people engage with poetry in primary schools.
